Zhongzheng District, Taipei City｜東門興記手工水餃港式點心

Must try if you're in Taipei. This place is located right on the edge of Dongmen Market (東門市場)，across stree from Dongmen subway station. You can get all the famous Chinese dishes from famous restaurant here, including dim-sum, shuimai, hagao, pearl balls, phoenix feet, etc. Also, stuff from northern China, baozi, steamed buns, dumplings, braised pork belly, etc. Various small dishes, such as tofu skins, dried tofu stir-frys, a sorted vegetable salad, stir fried Amchovy with peanuts, braised assort bean curds. They must have more than 100+ different ready-to-eat items you can just pick up, go home and eat. So much fun to try everything yourself and buy as little or much as you want. We come about once every week and you can do that too since it is easy to get to by the Metro system.

Nice takeout dim sum place! Quick and inexpensive. Pork buns are a must!

Can only comment on Pork+Cabbage dumplings which are well made and filled to the brim. Frozen and ready for home cooking. Well seasoned and not too salty (unlike other brands).
