The best beef noodles that we have had in Taiwan. We love the beef soup that has a little herbal sweetness and the beef brisket was so soft, it just melts in your mouth. Not sure why some reviewers complained it was "too salty" when it was not the case at all. The wanton with chilli oil also deserves special mention, the sauce has a hint of red vinegar as well as soy sauce and complimented the wanton which has marinated meat filling very well. Lastly the smoked prune drink was really the perfect end to the hearty meal. The lady boss was very attentive and even provided us with an English menu. We highly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Dongmen Market area.

I have tried couple of beef noodle places during my holiday in Taipei. This is the place which I liked the taste most. You should also try smoked plum juice. It is amazing if you like smoky flavours. The place has clean and welcoming enviroment. English menu provided.
