Da’an District, Taipei City｜Yong He Soy Milk King

We visited Yong He after watching an Instagram post. We’ve already had many Taiwanese breakfasts by this point. The staff saw us standing in line and offered us an English menu to mark what we wanted. By 9:15am, they had sold out of baos. My wife discovered the savory version of soy milk on this trip so we ordered that. This one had more of a fishy taste with the dried tiny shrimp, which my wife doesn’t like. It was perfectly fine for me. Everything else was great to my taste. The soup dumplings were excellent too.

Great experience for an authentic breakfast in Taipei. This one was suggested to me and it did not fail to leave us with smiles and full bellies. The milk tea, the scallion egg and the fritters are the star of the show. Each of them were exactly what is expected of the type. Light, fresh & satisfying. The soup dumplings were very nice. Warm & fresh. The egg bao was great. We enjoyed it with a dip of sauce. Always busy but never more than a few minutes wait.

I ordered No. 3 and No. 35 from the menu. They taste so good. This is even after I just ate at nearby Rui AN soy Milk, that Rui An don't have English menu and food is not fresh, they just reheat it for you. The only good there is their Soy Milk. Whereas in this Yong He, it still manage to taste so good despite my stomach is full. I plan to come back again to try something else.
