More Comments at Google MapSecond time back here in four years and it's still as delicious as I remembered. The cream soup base is the star of the show! Staff were really polite too. The air conditioning spoiled halfway through our meal and the staff went around to apologise individually to every table. They also went on to comp half the bill as an apology for the inconvenience, which made the overall experience very pleasant overall. Will definitely be coming back again on my next trip to Taiwan!
They have an English menu! (I hadn’t seen any when I looked). I’m any case, their menu is really simple to navigate. 1) choose a broth 2) choose a meat 3) choose a side (rice, noodles, etc) - all of this for around $360NT after service fee. The best $360 I’ve spent on hotpot in Taiwan, but my search continues. You get 1/3 pound of meat, a huge bowl of veg, a side (I love prince noodles), free drinks, and a basic sauce bar. Highly recommended.
The best hotpot broth I've ever had! Highly recommend trying the milk broth! It's unique and flavorful. Even when my sense of taste has been dulled by a cold, I could taste how good it was. And for $339 NT or ~$11 USD, the price is ridiculously cheap for the quality and quantity of food you get. Unfortunately, the menu was only in Chinese, so here's what the $339 NT gets you: 1 choice of broth, a large bowl of assorted veggies/fish balls/tofu, 1 choice of meat, 1 egg, 1 portion of noodles or rice with a slice of American cheese, and 1 grass jelly dessert. You also have a choice of two beverages: plum or red tea. The only thing I wish they would change is adding more options at the sauce bar. I would have liked to have some sesame paste in my sauce. Still, even though this isn't a buffet style hotpot place, I was extremely full and satisfied with the amount/diversity of food. I was also pleasantly surprised that when they refilled our broth, they still used milk broth instead of hot water or a standard pork broth like most other hotpot places I've been to. Service was good; the restaurant itself was small, so we had to wait a little bit before being seated. Definitely recommend coming here!
