Decades old place and one of local favourites. Off one of the most crowded part of the city is this old restaurant that won’t stand out against today’s modern restaurants. The restaurant didn’t changed in the past decades which I supposed is why in part why it continues to be the gathering place of “old friends”. One of those place which the owner warmly greets patrons that have been visiting and celebrating many of their life events there. The dishes are all simple and done well. Certainly try the clay pot rice as many others have suggested. Definitely also go for steamed 筍殼魚。

Nice Chinese restaurant with reasonable pricing. Spend about 1120 TWD, ordering a mixed platter [duck,chicken and char siew (pork)], veggie, claypot tofu and four bowls of white rice. The atmosphere is a bit noisy as restaurant is crowded. Overall, a nice Chinese restaurant.

They don't have English menu. However they have a waiter who spoke English fluently. Order chashaofan (叉燒飯) for lunch. It's some kind of sweet barbecued pork with rice. And they served hot tea and dessert, a bowl of red bean soup, for free. Love the restaurant's atmosphere and it's lunch time but was not crowded at all. May be back very soon next time.
