This place has excellent service and really really good rich tasting ramen that is not too salty and fairly priced. For those vegetarians out there, They have option for a non pork soup base, which is what we opted for.. We would come back here again and we recommend it to any tourist and locals alike.

12/23 Hakata ramen soup is rich and not too salty, and the portion size is not bad regardless of noodles or ingredients. The soy sauce for fried tofu tasted too salty. Good service attitude.

We’ve been coming here for a century and the taste hasn’t changed at all (a good thing). Brought my Japanese friend here and he was blown away by the ingenuity of frying tofu with panko. He also thought the portion of chashu was a lot more generous than what they offer back home. Will be back for another century! (It’d be nice if they could update the interior though!)
