Xinyi District, Taipei City｜Liou Tzang Li Meat Bun

Wide selection of different dumplings. They are notably better from the usual fare for several reasons: some of the fillings are rare to be found elsewhere, the ratio filling-dough is leaning strongly towards "abundant filling", the seasoning even for well-known fillings is refreshingly different and finally the dough is beautifully soft and almost fluffy, not as hard as it happens to be in other places. Staff speaks very good English and service is efficient. One warning: some fillings that "sound" vegetarian (e.g. bamboo) contain large amounts of meat.

Can't beat it for the price. Recommend going in morning. My favorites are the black sesame, shredded vegetable, and jujube. The jujube in particular have a smokiness that makes them stand out from similar bun places. Very fast service.
