Da’an District, Taipei City｜Latenight Oden

Splendid experience (if you manage to get seats). A friend brought me into this little izakaya, where they specialise in oden and bbq skewers. Ordered a few oden dishes (radish / onion / tamago), tea rice, rice cake and chicken skewers. Prices for oden dishes range from $40 to $90, chicken skewer is $200. It’s a little pricey, but the food is really good. If you want soup refills, just place your bowl on the counter. Special shout-out for their skewers! Soothing music on the background, with bar tatami seats. On a rainy day, the whole experience is just perfect.

Have visited this place more than 10 years. This is the best and most cosy sake corner you can ever find in Taiwan. The atmosphere and the way people chat in evening / night time will make you relaxed and the food / sake are also tasty. Darryl’s hospitality is superb and definitely it’s a key part of this charming place.
