I went there for the first time two weeks ago, and tasted the original Sichuan flavor, just like the Sichuan restaurant in the mainland, delicious. I have made a reservation today and ordered pickled fish (dishes must be ordered one day in advance). I wanted to go directly yesterday, but fortunately I called at noon yesterday, but the first round was full at 17:30! So remember to make a reservation first and order the pre-ordered dishes first!

This place is possibly the best kept secret for authentic Sichuan food in this part of New Taipei. Loved everything so far: 辣子雞 bone-in spicy chicken that's perfectly crisp (360), 水煮牛 spicy tender beef submerged in hot peppers with just the right balance of vegetables (340), 老皮嫩肉 soothing large pieces of egg tofu for offsetting the spice (140), and even the regular stir fry vegetables were infused with wok-hay (100). Unlimited rice at 10 a person. The young female owner was amazingly nice, and she said both she and the ingredients for the restaurant come from Sichuan. Couldn't have asked for a more satisfying and homey meal while outside of Sichuan. Can't wait to go back and try their other dishes! Bring cash.
