Yonghe District, New Taipei City｜北蘭阿姨商行

A lovely little place. The clerk at a nearby FET store suggested it to me after I spent an hour getting a phone contract set up. The dish is stir fried instant noodles, with all sorts of things added in. I consider myself to be pretty good at snazzying up noodles, but I've never made anything as nice as these. They asked how I wanted my egg cooked, 半熟(runny) or 全熟 (hard). My pictures haven't captured it but the place itself is rather pretty too. Lots of character.

My favourite place to go for Thai basil pork rice! Your are sitting half inside half outside in an a slight SE Asian vibe. They also serve thai milk tea and a small selection of Taiwanese craft beers. Small but strong menu.

Finding this late night bistro is a blessing for me who work on night shift. Excellent fried ramen and fried rice at reasonable prices, amazing snacks, beverages and beers. It’s good for both taking away and hanging out. The only problem is their popularity- might need to wait.
