More Comments at Google MapThey have the juiciest and the most delicious 😋 fried chicken 🍗 in Shilin Night Market. The price of NT$100 (C$4.20/US$3.19) apiece is cheap. Taiwanese chains charge a bloody C$13-C$15 for fried chicken in Vancouver, Canada. Great location right at the beginning of the night market. No wonder this place has the longest lineup among all food stalls. Luckily we were there just after sundown and the lineup wasn't bad. It would be great if they would provide tissues or napkins with your order, and also cut ✂️ your chicken.
Be prepared to wait for the goodness. Was there twice in the last week and both times had to wait at least 10 to 15mins. However, the BBQ chicken is really good. It is deep fried and after grilled. The inside remains succulent while the outer part tasted really good. Looks large but a medium sized eater would have no problem finishing the entire piece. Ask for slight spicy. That is the best option in my opinion.
This has to be the most ridiculous queue you find in Shilin Market. The stall is located almost at the corner of the junction and you can see a long queue from the stall all the way to the traffic junction towards Jiantan Metro station. I heard this is a "must try" stall and of course I had to join the queue to see what the hype is about. And I did not regret it because it is simply the best chicken I have ever eaten! Queue was very long but it moved quite a bit every few minutes so you don't get frustrated when the queue doesn't move. Ordering was easy you just give the quantity and how spicy you want it to be. For 95 TWD initially I thought it was slightly expensive but I think the size of it justifies for the price. The chicken was really big, thick and juicy and it was very well deep fried and then put on a grill with some sauce. I was very impressed that the chicken was so juicy despite being deep fried. There wasn't any bite which I felt the chicken was dry the meat was very consistent throughout. I liked the sauce a lot thought it wasn't much it gave the flavour to the meat and was perfect. Definitely recommend to queue and try maybe it will be your best fried chicken experience!
