It's true, the real 阿吉師 has retired. I haven't been here for years, and I was pretty disappointed when I didn't see the familiar face. However, the new chef has kept up with the "secret sauce" for this omakase place. 1. top notch fish 2. creativity and actual knowledge of eclectic sushi making 3. very affordable prices, in fact, the prices are lower than when 阿吉師 was here....which makes sense :D The good stuff is by no means cheap. Seriously, if you are looking for cheap sushi, this isn't it. If you are looking for excellent, or even exceptional fishy that doesn't cost you NT10,000 a person. This is totally the place. I can have a nice meal for less than $1000. If I really want to walk away full without filling myself up with the soup, I'd say $1500 would do. The bottom line is that you get more than what you pay for, but if you are expecting to pay for cheap fish, more your butt to a fast food sushi place.
