Shilin District, Taipei City｜双胞胎手工蛋餅捲ㄦ

Perfect breakfast place if on the way to the National Palace Museum from Shilin subway station. It is a stone’s throw from Exit 2, and has a wide ranging menu for one to choose from. We had a 双胞胎蛋饼卷 (twin roll, with egg, cabbage and cheese) and a 火腿芝士蛋饼卷 (ham, cheese, cabbage) both of which were very yummy. Nicely crispy on the outside but not oily, and moist on the inside. Had chilli on the side, which lent a kick to the rolls. We also ordered a cup of Pu’er tea to go with the food, though they have other drinks, like the soybean milk red tea which seems to be very popular with the other customers:)

Best breakfast and the staff are so friendly and nice! No English menu but they speak English, and can use your translation app. Their Dan bing is the best! It’s a small shop so take to go or hopefully get lucky with a seat.

I've tried all kinds of breakfast shops around Taiwan. This is my favourite. The egg pancakes are all handmade and the crispiest, most flavourful I've ever had. There are plenty of delicious fillings to choose from, my favourite combination being sweet potato, corn and cabbage with a fried egg sunny-side up on top. The chilli sauce is also homemade and delicious. There are many seasonal options that may not be on the menu, so don't be afraid to ask. This is a family-run independent business with exceptionally friendly and generous service. I loved being a local here.
