Shilin District, Taipei City｜Kanpai Classic

Came here for dinner, food is good and service is superb. Our waiter Stanley made sure to introduce us their specialty as well as there set menu. If you haven’t been here definitely give the set menu a try.

I've visited all of the Laoganbei stores in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing, and Hangzhou, and now it's Taiwan's turn. It’s known as Laoganbei upon in mainland China, but in Taiwan, it is divided into two types: Laoganbei and Kanpai Classic. Laoganbei in Taiwan specialises in "Japanese Wagyu," whereas Kanpai Classic specialises in "Australian Wagyu Only" (similar to stores in mainland China). Tianmu's Wagyu beef comes from Robbins Island in Tasmania, Australia. Unlike the Taiwan Laoganbei menu, Kanpai Classic offers a variety of ways to eat fresh raw beef, including sushi, raw beef tartare, and the delicious combination of raw beef and French oysters. It reminded me of the Laoganbei I had in mainland China. Personally, compared to the rich, “melt-in-your-mouth fat” of Japanese Wagyu, I prefer the flavour and fat combination of Australian Wagyu beef! Highly recommended!! ❤️

Great Japanese grill restaurant. Top quality food everything we ordered was very good with top class service. The waiters cook for you here which is rare.
