Inexpensive, plump, and freshly made dumplings! Would highly recommend for anyone looking to spend $5 usd or $150 (dumplings + appetizer + soup) for an inexpensive but fresh and delicious dinner. They have a plethora of free toppings to choose from. Would absolutely go again.

Cheap and freshly handmade dumplings! No-frills, no-nonsense kind of restaurant, with several flavours of dumplings, all at very reasonable prices. The restaurant sits in a very tight alley, hidden off of the main street ZhongXiao (忠孝): look for that vertical yellow sign! I ordered the shrimp dumplings (蝦仁水餃)—$90NTfor 10–which has a good-sized shrimp in each one, along with pork dumpling fillings. The dumpling wrappers/skins are medium thickness and just the right amount of chew, and nicely balanced to the volume of the filling. Flavour was pretty great, and I’m keeping this in my list for whenever I’m in the area! This one dish was good enough for a snack, so if you’re here for a meal, you’ll want to figure 15 dumplings with a side per person. Order at the till, pay (cash), and then go find your seat. You’ll need to get your own utensils from the side table, and concoct your desired sauce there too. Seats are ye olde standard square wooden stools: not uncomfortable, but not really for hanging out on.

Seats were readily available when we came at around 2pm. Recommend the steamed dumplings and minced meat noodles. Dumplings were larger than expected,they were so juicy, filled with fresh prawns and meat. No smelly pork smell for sure. Try the dumplings dipped with white vinegar! Noodles were above expectations too, they were QQ. It was a good combo - noodles with minced meat and shredded cucumber. Skip the hot&spicy soup, not worth the calories. Drinks not available in the store, but no worries, there is a 7-11 store just round the corner.
