鰻料理 江戶川 日式鰻魚飯 Unagi Specialty Japanese Restaurant Originally from Japan, they actually lots of franchises in Japan and this store that I'm visiting today is their very first oversea store. With Japanese design and environment, each of their friendly staffs will patiently and attentively attend to your order. When I was ordering my meal, I can see lots of Japanese customers too, which is a great sign of the food authenticity. The restaurant is bright and clean, and each table is spaced accordingly. You'll be served with hot 日式焙茶 (Hojicha) (take note that the subsequent refill is slightly cold tea, instead of hot). Their menu is comprehensive, and you get to choose any combination to your liking. Ordered 迷你鰻魚飯三吃 套餐 (3-way Mini Unagi Set) - Perfect set to order of you would like to taste everything. Oh boy, where should I start. It comes with a big bowl of rice with completely covered with grilled ell on top of it. Originated from Nagoya, the method of eating the 3-way unagi Set is to use the wooden spoon and divide the rice into 4 equal parts. Part 1 - To eat it directly without adding anything. This is to taste the authentic and original flavor just as is. Part 2 - To add in green onions and little bit of wasabi, making it slightly more spicy and letting the kick stays on your tongue. Part 3 - To eat it with the soup made of tea. Hot fragrant tea soup can be added, making it extremely delightful to taste. One more part left? That's to your own liking after all 3 methods tried. Haha. You can even add in Japanese black pepper (三椒粉) if you like. The set also comes with fried shrimp tempura, eel liver soup, plain noodle soup, chawanmushi (egg custard). Wow, perfect for the stomach, and the mouth too. Tempura is cooked to perfection, without any feeling of greasy and oily. Chawanmushi is awesome, with lots of ingredient in it, and the texture of it is silky smooth.

點鰻魚三吃和玉子燒,湯要好好享受. 必定再來I went there to enjoy my delightful dinner and I indeed got what I expected. The food is amazing.. I ordered おひつまぶしwhich you could have 3 different ways to enjoy grilled eel over rice. Among them, I recommended Chazuke mostly. it's always my favorite. The smell of grilled eel and dashi were absorbed by rice. I just can't stop eating. Meanwhile, I ordered egg roll with eel. you can easily tastes the soft texture of egg and the eel. One plate seems NOT enough at all..Finally, I drank the soup. It was cooked with eel liver. The odor is not strong until you took first bite. It was soft and juicy.. I was astonished. Trying to get a new bowl but it's kind of pricey. So I ordered grill eel liver instead. it's not expensive at all and it is limited. Undoubtfully, its so good. Besides food the environment and the service are perfect The waiter and the waitress are well trained and the polite they are all pleased to answer all kinds of my questions without any impatience. For me , what make a good experience of a restaurant. It consists of three parts: food service and environment . For this restaurant I really recommend you to eat here it's almost the best restaurant to enjoy eel in Taipei.
