More Comments at Google MapI love the fact that you don't have any choices to make other than for your choice of drink. You just follow the flow, with course what course that come to your table, each one surprising in it's own way, most of them delectable. There's no point in listing my favorites, as I believe the menu changes very often, in an impromptu manner. At the end, you receive a card with the menu you just enjoyed, in the take away gift bag. The atmosphere is totally relaxed, unpretentious. The Michelin star does not make the place uptight or snobbish.
Amazing fine dining experience 😋 the reservation opens 2 months in advance. For private dining room, you can either email or call them for reservation. The communication was prompt and helpful. The private dining room can handle 10 pax and has a minimum spend of NT$40k. They were able to accommodate gluten-free request (unlike many other fine dining options I’ve researched). For children, there is the option to order from Regent hotel’s a la carte menu (the hainanese chicken rice was 🔥🔥🔥) I also love that there isn’t a strict dress code. The only request was no open-toed shoes. The service is attentive and warm. The server & sommelier who assisted us are bilingual. The food was delicious. There were only 2 dishes that I didn’t like out of the tasting menu. We did the full pairing (wine & cocktail) which was interesting as well. Overall a really enjoyable meal with creative fusion dishes. The take home gift at the end was thoughtful.
Once my travel dates were set, I contacted Impromptu via email to make a reservation. Jasmine responded right away, with a link to enter the requested information online. The culinary experience did not disappoint! We were especially impressed with the Spanish mackerel tart/eggplant, the l'orangerie egg caviar, the cod milt/congee/dried scallop, and the yellow striped goatfish. The service was excellent as well! Ms. Wei and the sommelier were especially attentive and friendly. We also ordered their three drink pairings: cocktail pairing (7 unique mixes), wine pairing (8 glasses) and full pairing (9 drinks of various liquors) and enjoyed them all. I will be back next time I visit Taiwan! Loved the experience!
