Zhongshan District, Taipei City｜Wang Mama Breakfast Restaurant

The fried turnip cake and egg flaky pancake were super crispy and delicious! They were one of the best breakfast foods we have had in Taiwan, and the grandma is so friendly too. Please drop by this unassuming store to try out the food. There is no obvious storefront but you can recognise the grandma from the pics and it’s opposite the elementary school. Edit: went back a second time before I left Taipei. The burger was delicious!

Great little breakfast place for a quick bite. The egg & meat burger was the star of the menu. Followed by the soufflé (coconut toast) was a nice meal to kick off the day. Milk tea was made fresh. Sit on the sidewalk and start your day at Wang Mama’s. You can do worse.

*Radish Cake*. I bike kilometers out of my way to Wang Mamma whenever I'm in Taipei. Perfectly crispy. Umami. A considerate auntie who really cares about getting the texture correct. Look at the attached pictures and movie, they say everything about this place.
