Zhongshan District, Taipei City｜Hunger Burger

Very good burger. I could see the different floors of fresh ingredients clearly: bun, salad, tomatoes, onions, bacon, beef. I don't recommend the place when it's too windy too haha

I gotta give props to this place. I discovered it randomly while walking around the area and saw the good reviews, saw the nice pictures and decided I had to give it a try. Probably the best burger I had in taipei, not that I had a lot. I’m pretty picky when it comes to burgers. I ordered the classic and a chicken burger with peanut sauce (because of another review here) and a fries. The burger prices are really reasonable. The classic burger was amazing given the price. Bun was nice, ingredients were nice. If I had to complain, it would be that the meat amount is small. But that’s where you order a double (if possible) or two burgers which is what I did. Chicken burger with peanut sauce was not great, but better than I expected. It was my first time trying peanut sauce on a burger and I’m not sure how I feel. Its definitely not straight peanut butter, it’s more like peanut butter mixed with mayo so it’s more runny than thick. I don’t think I care too much for it, but that’s also because I really prefer a classic no frills burger. Again, the chicken meat was really small here, but I don’t blame them for this price point. Fries were good. Overall, great burger spot. I will definitely be back!

It’s a very unique concept using Airstream RVs as food trucks. It’s like a pop up hamburger stand tucked away in the back alley behind a movie theater and McDonalds. Avoid the McDonalds and give Hunger Burger a try. You won’t be disappointed. The double bacon cheeseburger was very good and freshly made. How can you go wrong with cheese and bacon!?!?!? I probably could have eaten two if I was super hungry. The onion rings I had were ok, nothing to write home about. There’s only outdoor dining with limited seating / tables under large umbrellas so it can be a bit uncomfortable on hot / humid summer days or when it’s raining. Regardless, the burgers are tasty and items on the menu are reasonably priced. I highly recommend and I’ll definitely be back to try some of their other offerings.
