Songshan District, Taipei City｜Hang Zhou Xiao Long Bao (Minsheng)

Great dim sum, attentive staff, comfy and clean atmosphere. My favorites where the 龍鬚菜 (not oily at all and very crunchy and fresh) and 蔥油餅 (nice doughy texture inside and heaps of fresh spring onion). The ginger in the dipping tray is served in fine julienne that taste strong but not too pungent, could it eat just as is. I think the tea and the veggie dumplings could have a bit more taste, though.

Huge fan of this place - it’s delicious, way more affordable than Din Tai Fung, and Ioveee their dessert dumplings. I also love that some come in a set of 4; makes it way easier to try different kinds! Oh, their 砂鍋 that has crab roe and tofu…. DROOL. It is so comforting and delicious yet not overly rich. Get that. You won’t regret it.

Everything is more than beyond average. The fried rice and steamed cabbages are particularly impressive.
