Sanchong District, New Taipei City｜Shenju Izakaya Restaurant

Randomly found this place late in the night and what a lovely surprise! I never expected to find such a high quality izakaya in the area. The environment is cozy and relaxed ( you remove your shoes upon entering), the food is excellent and very fairly priced- we had the motsunabe (rare to find in Taiwan), salmon yukke, stew beef tendon, marinaded cucumber etc. All delicious. Didn’t get to try too many drinks this time but it seems they have quite a good selection of different types of Japanese alcohol. Would be a great place for small get togethers with friends or family.
