More Comments at Google Mapamazing sashimi don, friendly staff and great atmosphere :) very cozy place with the best fresh sashimi around the neighborhood! can’t wait to visit again!
This Japanese sushi restaurant is one of the hidden gems near Xihu MRT. Outside it looks just like any other restaurant but don't be fooled by its looks! The seafood and fish cuts are very soft and one can tell that it is fresh. The red fish meat does not have the fishy/irony flavor. They also serve soup and if I heard it right, you can ask for a refill. The place is small and reservation beforehand is recommended. The restroom is outside, behind the shop in a small alley. Don't worry, they maintain it and it is very clean. They only have one server that takes orders, is the cashier and the one that cleans up. Their menu has no English but has drawings of what the food is and what to expect. They only accept cash as a medium of payment.
This is the place where you can taste the hard work and the love from their food!! I've been here more than 5times for lunch and dinner. Lunch time is quite busy than dinner time because is in a business district. Staff including the boss are nice. I'm barely speak Chinese but they are very welcoming. I normally ordered from photo in Google map. I impressed every dishes they serve. The quality of ingredients are very reasonable for the price. I love to sit on the bar to observe how they cook very carefully. That's why their food is so legit. They have variety sashimi don. I like the sweet black beans that come with the rice. It puts interesting flavor into the dish more than just normal ginger. I went around sushi places in Taipei but this is the first time I order the red shrimp for nigiri, and they put the rice into the shrimp's head and grilled it together. It's so damn goooooooood. The melted fat mix well with char rice. My favorite here is scallop both nigiri and sashimi. I like the way thy cut the scallop and slightly sprinkle lemon zest on top. The best! And every time I go, I try to order new fish to explore my taste. I'll go back for more again and again for this place. Much love♡
