Zhongshan District, Keelung City｜麻辣世家(可不辣)紅半天

Today, after visiting the naval exhibition, we went in search of food and stumbled upon a gem of a restaurant that has been open for just over a year and nine months. We ordered the spicy tofu with duck blood and large intestine, along with the fried rice. The fried rice was expertly cooked with distinct and flavorful grains, and fresh scallions throughout. It was incredibly delicious, and we polished it off in no time. The soup base for the spicy duck blood was made with Taiwanese herbs, and the owner informed us that no extra salt or MSG was added. The broth was refreshing, spicy, and had a depth of flavor that made it stand out. If you like it even spicier, you can add more chili. Additionally, the duck blood was especially tender, and we could tell the ingredients were fresh. The overall environment of the restaurant was clean, and you could tell that the owner runs it with care. They not only sell spicy hot pot but also non-spicy dishes like fried rice, dumplings, and egg drop soup. We were so impressed that we even bought some of their homemade spicy sauce to make hot pot at home later. We highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to coming back soon.
