Ren’ai District, Keelung City｜Warm Light Dining

If you're in Keelung, you have to give this place a visit. The owner, who is also the chef runs the place herself and she prepares each dish herself. Among the dishes that I tried, my top recommendations are: 1. Italian Seafood Stew - as Keelung is a port, the seafood is as fresh as it gets here. The owner handpicks the seafood herself every morning. The bread and the stew is one of the best combination. 2. Fried Squid - the batter and soft squid is one of the top few I've tried worldwide. I found myself picking on the crumbs even after finishing the dish. 3. Truffle Fries - I'm quite picky on my truffle fries and this is one of the better ones I've tried. The fries continues to stay crunchy. One note would be to ask for more truffle sauce if you're a truffle lover like me. 4. Desserts - I had the pudding and match a strawberry shortcake. Both are made daily by the owner and they are really good. The balance of the cream and green tea was perfectly done. 5. Alcohol - Try the Mari, it's really good.
