Had the clear soup beef noodle soup for 150 NT, very tasty and perhaps the most generous serving of beef I've received at a beef noodle soup shop

My vote for best clear broth beef noodles in taiwan. Ive tried the famous one in yongkang jie taipei (spicy), and other small shops all over taiwan, but i think this nondescript shop is the winner. The broth is flavourful, slightly sweet without being overpowering (as compared to taipei’s famous spicy beef noodles on yongkang- too spicy, too overpowering). The noodles are themselves are also differently flavoured and not bland. The texture is firm. The beef is not too soft or too chewy. The boss serves a very generous portion of beef medallions. There is plenty to accompany the noodles til the end of the meal. The fact that the shop is simple and clean provides a great backdrop to the story. Its just good and there is no hype nor self promotion. Its a classic old school taiwanese story. Try it.
