Wulai District, New Taipei City｜泰雅巴萊原住民美食店

Very nicely prepared food and friendly service. So many exciting things to try if you’re a food adventure, such as stir fried bees, fermented pork, wild snails, squirrel, etc.. But if that’s not your thing, there are plenty of easy dishes on the menu as well.

I read plenty of blogs and articles before I visited wulai. Most of the bloggers recommended this restaurant, so we decided to give it a shot. Not so surprisingly, the food taste good, and the waiting staffs are all friendly and hospitable. We tried the stir fried wild boar, bamboo tube rice and some vegetable that i have never seen else where. Really special experience.

An essential stop during your visit to Wulai. This restaurant has traditional Atayal food that will be unique compared to anything else you'll find in Taiwan. I've eaten here multiple times and I have never been disappointed. Everything on the menu I've had so far is great and I highly recommend the bamboo rice and honey drink. The restaurant also features many interesting images showcasing Atayal culture. There is a bus that takes you very close to the restaurant from Taipei, it could make a great day trip out of the city. Sehr lecker!
