Chanced upon this gem while walking back from the waterfall. The dishes are so simple yet so tasty! the 滷肉饭 tasted great and the boiled spinach complement each other so well. The spinach had not much taste but I really enjoyed it. Simplicity is truly the ultimate sophistication.

Walk up Old Shifen Street past the tourist’s places and you come to this local family run restaurant. Great for lunch box or minced pork over rice. The place is clean, there’s pictures of the food in case you can’t speak Chinese (me) and it’s cheap.
