Da’an District, Taipei City｜林記牛肉麵

Tucked in a neighbourhood alley, this place is a local favourite for their beef noodle (牛肉麵) fix! The place is rather small (with 5+ tables) so do take note of that. Had the beef meat and tendon combination noodles (about TWD$180) - amazing rich broth and well-cooked noodles. To top all off, there’s complementary free-flow pickled greens and spicy butter as condiments to greatly enhance the flavour of the dish. The beef was well cooked and pleasantly tender to chew. Last but not least, a courteous service from the staff to top it all off. Recommended!

Every time I visit Taipei, I have one bowl of beef noodle here!

The meat has big tendons, and the soup is good. It is a hidden version of alley food. There are many beef noodle shops around the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. The price is satisfactory, but this one is my favorite.
