This is the best burger in Taichung. I've tried most of the chain and non-chain stores in this area, and nothing even comes close. Even compared to burger places in the US, their burgers would easily rate as above average. And this incredible store is somehow sitting at a high 3 star rating right now on Google, which is a crime, but also makes perfect sense. Most people in this city would have no idea what a good burger is if it walked up to them and slapped them in the face, which really explains why there are SO MANY terrible burger places here. Their burgers just taste right. It's that simple - they hit that perfect marriage of juicy meaty patty, crispy vegetables, and perfectly firm bun. Compared to the common burger-dedicated chain stores in the US, I would rate their cheeseburgers slightly above Five Guys, and about 95% of the way to a Shake Shack burger, which basically makes them hard outclass every other place in Taichung. It does have 2 major advantages compared to Shack Shack, however: their cheeseburgers are about half the price, and you don't need to get on a plane to buy them.

The best burger I have had in a really really long time ! Definitely recommend one , especially if you have been travelling for a while in South east Asia, as you will be hard pressed to find a better one !

This is the most authentic burger you can get in all of Taiwan! Often times a restaurant of foreign food will change the flavor somewhat to try and meet the local palate. Big Al's keeps the burgers as authentic as possible, delicious! My wife is a vegetarian and she loves the zucchini chili burger. Oh and the milkshakes, too. They are also the most authentic American milkshakes I've ever had!
