Taitung City, Taitung County｜喜來東（Kimbo's吧）餐廳

We came here three years ago pre-pandemic restrictions. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and the music. We are in Taitung again today, post pandemic restrictions, and came back for another meal. Once again we really liked the food, the atmosphere and the music. We even got to hear Kimbo, the owner, perform (great voice and pretty mean piano playing). His wife is the chef and this place works so well because of the quality of the ingredients and excellent cooking. It's not cordon blue, but if you like honest taiwanese food cooked really well you'd be hard pushed to beat this place. We came here three years ago when we didn't have COVID. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, atmosphere and music. We came to Taitung again today, the epidemic prevention regulations are not so strict, so we came back for a meal. We still really like the food, atmosphere and music here. We even heard a performance from the owner Kimbo (good voice, great piano). His wife is the chef and due to her very good cooking and the quality of the ingredients, this place is fantastic. Not Cordon Bleu, but if you like good authentic Taiwanese food, you'd be hard pressed to find a better place.
