Luye Township, Taitung County｜青青嚐味

[taitung ETAs] we just had a really lovely vegetarian birthday dinner here thanks to the equally amazing food and hospitality. We called a day before and both reserved a table and ordered ahead of time. We all got the set meals (400 NT), which came with 2 light appetizers, a main meal, soup, and a dessert. The plating was beautiful, the food was nourishing and flavorful, and there were so many creative culinary aspects grounded in Taitung's seasonality. The 3-cup tofu and mushrooms, fresh pineapple juice, dragonfruit fried rice, and soup really stood out. Definitely a special meal for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. The proprietress also so kindly made our birthday caking and song singing even more special by turning out the lights, bringing us cutlery for the cake, and graciously letting us sit around for a while after our meal had ended. tl;dr: A super sweet family is running this place and making really delicious and creative vegetarian food that will leave you feeling fueled and ready to enjoy Taitung's beauty!
