After a couple of visits to the Classic Movie Restaurant, I became friends with its talented lao ban, Chef Alex. He cooks with a sophisticated but light touch, allowing the wonderful flavors of simple natural ingredients to shine through. His cuisine has introduced me to so many local vegetables and varieties of local seafood, blending them to create exceptionally tasty dishes. I so much appreciate his food— and his friendship!
