There is a restaurant closest to the exit of Osmanthus Alley. I have never compared it to the restaurants in Nanzhuang Old Street, so I went in to eat when I saw the clean one. Overall the food is delicious and reasonably priced. The stir-fried planks are very fragrant and the ingredients are delicious together. Actually, I can’t describe what’s special about it, but it’s really good. The fried chicken is another signature dish of theirs. The meat is very tender but still chewy and tasty. On the contrary, the soup is average. The rich vegetable soup relies on the taste of shredded ginger. Maybe there is not enough lucky vegetable, so it tastes like a ginger soup. The soup of glutinous rice balls is more ordinary. It probably just adds scallions, leeks, and celery. The soup base is very light. The big glutinous rice balls are delicious, and the vegetable garden fillings inside are delicious, just like small Hakka vegetable dumplings.

Simple and delicious Hakka dishes, including Hakka glutinous rice balls, stir-fried large intestine with shredded ginger, stir-fried rice noodles, preserved vegetables and eggs. There is also a set meal of four dishes and one soup for NT$490.
