More Comments at Google MapWhat a gem! Cliche, but this is a hole in the wall in the middle of nowhere offering original take on Taiwan food with a tribal twist. We just asked the chef to prepare what he thought were the best dishes and we were not disappointed. Pan fried fish, mountain mushroom soup, fried rice, mussels and the famous spicy noodles. Wow.
Pretty good restaurant. They use quality ingredients. The spicy noodles were and interesting fusion, actually not as spicy as I expected. The onion and squid pesto rice was equally as good, but u think that it would be better as a risotto dish instead of a rice dish. The pig ear was very good, and they used real thick soy sauce, not the normal chemical sauce that many restaurants use. I look forward to return to this restaurant to try new dishes in the future.
This should be a small restaurant that implements the boss's will very thoroughly. From the casual menu to the DIY-style decoration and BGM in the store, the attitude of the boss is emphasized. After a brief interaction with ordering food, you can feel that the boss's attitude is not very friendly to strangers, but he is not annoying (a bit tsundere-like). And this kind of persistence in oneself and professionalism is admirable. So we shamelessly kept asking the boss: why he put Showa grass in Italian cuisine, his original intention, etc. After chatting, he seemed very casual and comfortable again. In a small restaurant in a small village, there is no big dish for one person to cook. Don't ask the boss, you will be looked down upon. Whatever is available is on the menu. My experience is: the food here is not enjoyable without drinking a bottle of beer. And after a full meal, it feels even better to drive south to the beach to drink coffee.
