I can't praise this establishment enough. Went in without any expectations and was blown away by it's quaint atmosphere, hospitable host, and bubbly dishes. Live demonstration and crowd participation in the making of Lei tea （擂茶). Snacks will accompany your wait while the aroma of sesame seed and peanut fills the air, twisting in harmonious symphony. Of all of the snacks provided, the homemade mochi definitely caught this reviewer's attention and quenched his anticipation. The owner plays an ensemble of music of various, self-taught, instruments, as patrons join in song and social content. A warm and welcome escape from a blustery, drizzly day, in Hsinchu (新竹), Taiwan as you sip your tea and munch on soul-fullfilling delights.

I LOVE IT HERE! DIY experience is memorable + the owners are so kind! Must try when here in Hsin Tsu, can really immerse you in traditional Hakka Culture :)
