East District, Tainan City｜HaLo coffee

Very, very good espresso drinks. The roast used is on the lighter side, with a slight fruit flavor -- which is to my tastes. Excellent micro foam, and lovely latte art to boot. I went three times during a week-long stay, and mostly got cappuccinos. I also tried their "black ice" coffee, which I think is brown sugar ice. Perfect caffeine drink in the sweltering heat. The barista is super friendly and speaks pretty good English. He helped us find excellent rice rolls nearby (another breakfast craving whenever I visit this country). Environment is cute, if a little messy -- it was never crowded during weekday mornings, and we were usually the only customers there. Coming back to the NYC coffee scene, I miss this place already!

Great coffee and very friendly hosts! They also have a dog as well. Would recommend.

Awesome coffee shop with warm service and perfect coffee. Tiny space but super cozy.
