We came across the wonderful owners of 木子家on a lazy Saturday morning, expecting a brief breakfast stop before we leave Hualien. It turned out to be an incredible experience. We learned about how beans are roasted and what characteristics can be achieved depending on the different machines they have. We then also got a chance to taste the coffee paired with a few homemade cookies. It was absolutely amazing and wonderful to witness this passion the owners have for their craft. Unfortunately, we were in a rush to catch a train and would have loved to stay longer to chat and learn more. So try to give yourself some time (>1h) to really enjoy their company!

The warm and elegant, clean and bright B&B, and the rebuilt Tutian villa in the alley make people feel like coming home. Not far from the urban area, there are whale watching pier, Qixingtan and other scenic spots nearby, which is suitable for leisure and slow work to enjoy the time in the back mountain.

The owner and the couple are very persistent and devoted to coffee brewing and bread baking. Tasting the coffee and pastries baked by Muzi’s family, experiencing the warm and comfortable environment, sitting at the bar and chatting with the coffee worker, you will definitely have a good time A very unforgettable time.
