Xinzhuang District, New Taipei City｜S&D-新莊中和店

One of the best outdoor cafes in Xinzhuang and a great alternative to 85c! I’d rate both the atmosphere and the cappuccino a cut above. This particular branch of S&D is on a very busy street corner, which is ideal if you prefer to people watch and be a part of Taipei life as it parades by in all its 熱鬧 glory! Sidewalk café seating (covered) for about 30 at small tables means you’ll probably find a comfortable spot to roost and enjoy your coffee. If you’re peckish, they’ve got a nice selection of waffles, sandwiches, bagels, pizza, spaghetti, and soups, plus a dessert case of assorted cakes and whatnot. If there’s a cool breeze and it’s not a bajillion degrees out, I’d highly recommend this place. Not suitable for English tutoring or language exchange, as between the clientele and traffic, the noise level is pretty high. But great if you’re solo and don’t want to feel lonely - believe me, you won’t!

The quality of different S&D branches varies greatly, but this one is delicious. But it is not suitable for discount period, such as buy one get one free or buy during half price of the second cup, the quality will be much worse.
