Wanhua District, Taipei City｜Xiao Chu is flying!

A quaint little cafe near a hostel. Saw the name of the café, very cute and decided to try it. It has a cute way of ordering thru postcards and u get to keep them for free or buy a postcard and send it back home. Atmosphere is very lovely and peaceful. People here speaks softly, so dun spoil it. The only drawback is the stairs, cos u got to order and collect the food yourself. Seating is on the 2nd and 3rd floor. Food is good. Can't go wrong with anything, but in case u like what we ordered, it's in the postcards. Go in get a seat first then wow at the postcards and order later.

The concept of this place is extremely thoughtful from the moment you order to your last bite. It is decorated with so much artistic sense and wonder. I had the scone and it was baked fresh to order. It came out warm and it was really delicious and perfectly crumbly but not dry - just the way a scone should be. The food takes a bit long to prepare since it’s all made fresh to order - but it is worth every bite. Glad we stumbled on this place - from our hostel, next door.

Perfect cafe experience! They sell lots of cute postcards and merchandise from local artists. The chocolate basque cheesecake and grape chiffon cake was good!!!!! And yes, you get to keep the postcards of the items you ordered. Staff are very friendly too! Good place to just chill the whole afternoon! Definitely worth a visit if you're in Taipei :)
