Tainan is the city of the gods and also the city of tourism; the literary (pseudo-)literary youth is booming, and the old-fashioned Taiwanese flavor has finally been passed down intermittently by the second and third generations. She has many faces and different styles; sometimes she is bold, sometimes unrestrained, sometimes graceful, sometimes reserved, but she has one face: resolute in the midst of vitality, withered in the place of blooming flowers, but never dead. On Zhonghua Road, near the intersection of Xiaodong Road, there is an inconspicuous simple restaurant: Jade House, which is like a strong root in the gravel, blooming proudly in the flow of people. It gradually fades over the years but its elegance is imprinted on the taste buds of every diner. I arrived at the restaurant at 7:15 yesterday, and the lady boss said shyly that she would not cook after 7 o'clock. However, it was written on the wall that the restaurant is open until 9 o'clock, and Google said it was open until 8 o'clock. I was actually a little surprised. Logically speaking, I shouldn’t be without food at 7:15 anyway; but who am I? I couldn’t eat the Tsukiyo Taiyaki that I wanted to eat more. I arrived before 6:30 today, and in the thriving catering industry in Tainan, the casual dining world is showing a sluggish scene; I saw another style, a kind of style that obviously has a dim sign but can’t finish the call (a 240) in the kitchen It was too late to serve the meal. When I first arrived in Tainan fourteen years ago, I had eaten the chicken legs from Green House. They were salty, smooth and tender, with a mellow sauce and a delicate meat. The bones could be separated from the flesh by just touching it with a chopstick. Fourteen years later, the taste is still the same after eating it. It has maintained its delicious taste for 40 years with perseverance and stubbornness, which is even older than me. I haven’t had a chance to try the Yulin Chicken Thigh King mentioned by Sister Ruiyao yet, so so far she is the most delicious grilled chicken drumstick I’ve ever tasted in Taiwan. There is no one, it is the only one.

The only recommendation is chicken drumstick rice, be sure to sprinkle pepper, the aroma will be even better, it is best to call and make a reservation before the meal time!
