Qianjin District, Kaohsiung City｜Coffee Wake Up

The strategic location caught my attention, so I decided to go there one evening with my friend for a chit-chat. Despite the bustling and lively surroundings, it contributed to a convivial ambiance during our discussion. We enjoyed sipping on the refreshing fruit tea. My friend and I opted for distinct teas, but I failed to perceive any distinction, whereas my friend was able to detect a subtle difference. A variety of seating options are at your disposal. Paying with cash is the most convenient option here.

I miss this branch since leaving Kaohsiung. It has a strong South Korean chain coffeeshop vibe. Comparing to those, I would say Wake Up has much better food (including nice Taiwan-style light food) and drinks. It is not open 24/7, but working hours are suitably long. The only downside is that outdoor seating faces busy roads, so even if it’s a nice day you have loud traffic noise and dust ruining the experience. It’s a chain, but I only visited this branch.

My favorite work cafe in Kaohsiung. It's spacious and bright. The large worktables are nice to sit at, lots of power outlets and good wifi. The menu is large serving drinks and good food. You can easily spend the whole day here if you don't have anything else to do.
