Yonghe District, New Taipei City｜44 Cafe Bistro

This cafe goes on my list of favourites in Taipei. It's tucked away in a small alley with no traffic, a small distance from the nearest MRT station. The staff is very friendly and welcomes you as soon as you enter. If you prefer staying outside, there is one table in a small patio that separates the café even more from the streets. They have a large coffee and tea menu however it is not the cheapest café. As many mentioned, one of the best things about this place, is its old house design. It gives a really warm and comfortable atmosphere. I find it ideal to get some work done in peace and quiet. Another thing that you should definitely try there are the cakes. They make or have a bakery that makes some of the best and most indulging cakes of Taipei! Note: There used to be a second floor (which is even more cosy) but on my few last visits it was closed off.

Really cool spot. Great coffee selection. Layout is smaller cozy rooms with cool art and music. Outside is also seating with a comfy setting.

An old house with a garden, hidden in an alley, with a pleasant environment and friendly service attitude, it is included in the pocket list. The balcony on the second floor has a good atmosphere, but we chose indoors due to the cold weather. The seats in front of the window are well lit, and the table is large enough to place books and meals for discussion! Recommend the lemon cheesecake, it's delicious! Fruit tea is okay, it is recommended to add some fresh fruit to make the fruity taste more intense. They make their own coffee and desserts, and friends say they are delicious~ There is no time limit, and it is also very atmospheric at night ~ suitable for staying all day
