Datong District, Taipei City｜Coffee and more

For a non-discerning but avid coffee drinker with religious morning caffeine intake routine, even the coffee selection at convenience stores in Taiwan put Starbucks to shame (especially when you factor in price). So as I was making my way to the nearest 7-11, I stumbled upon Coffee & More tucked away in the quiet neighborhood of Datong district. Its subtle and unassuming outdoor exterior, merely a sign and bench, demarcates the majestic and inviting espresso machine visible through the window pane. Seats are few inside, but perhaps it was never intended for tourists; the barista mentioned the store had opened in the thick of pandemic two years ago, presumably to cater to neighborhood locals when tourists were almost non-existent (given how strict border control was). Now that the border has opened up, it's perfect for those seeking temporary refuge from the bustling dihua street tourist attraction a few blocks away. As for the coffee itself, I would recommend their cold drip coffee!

Coffee is really good, especially for 50NT. The barista is friendly. Nice but small interior, and a bench to sit outside and see the world go by. Pretty perfect for me!

Americano coffee is delicious and has a refreshing fruity sour taste.
