Dounan Township, Yunlin County｜豆樂咖啡 Dollar Cafe

We stopped here on our scooter road trip around Taiwan. The service was great :) the man working there was so pleasant and looked like a hard worker. He knew a little bit of English and we spoke a little Chinese, so he tried to talk to us in Chinese but 我們的中文的說不好。😬 we had double shot cappuccinos w/ oat milk and a strawberry cheesecake; the coffee was flavorful and the cheesecake was unexpectedly the highlight of the event. It was SO GOOD. It was like a cheesecake and strawberry shortcake in one. The decoration and atmosphere is also beautiful. So much stuff, so eclectic, and felt really homey. Seating isn’t abundant or especially comfortable (maybe a couch would be a nice addition?) but it didn’t seem very busy anyway. We were here at 11 am on a Monday.

I’d never thought I would found a pour-over coffee shop in this rural neighborhood. The quality of coffee is superb. Highly recommended to anyone who visits this small town.
