Owner and staff were personable and attentive to our table service needs, and made us feel comfortable. Washed down with two bottles of beer, we ate to our stomach’s content. This is an economical hot pot place so the decor is basic. Our experience was very good and you can tell by how clean our table was at the end of meal - we finished everything!
This time I came to Shiyi Stone Hot Pot... I am very much looking forward to his soup... It is made of chicken bones and vegetables boiled for three hours... At the beginning, sauté dried shrimps, dried fish, and onions until fragrant, then add sliced meat and sauté till fragrant.... Very sweet and delicious... It will not be like ordinary hot pot soup, the more it cooks, the more salty it becomes... After eating it, I will return to sweetness...I really like it.... Then there are his hot pot ingredients.... It's served in the fridge.... You can eat as much as you want (but you need money ^^) The most special thing is that there is fried fish skin.... It is very rare to see it in hot pot restaurants in Taiwan.... You only need to simmer in the soup for three or four seconds and you can eat it.... The taste is crispy with the aroma of the soup.... After biting into the mouth, the sweet taste of the soup and the smell of fish skin.... The quality of the fish skin used by the boss must be quite good, otherwise the fishy smell will be quite heavy... In Taichung, the first-level hot pot war zone.... Shiyi Stone Hot Pot is a breath of fresh air.... Friends who love to eat hot pot must try it....
It is a 不起眼的店面if you didn’t read the google review. The eating place is at the first floor. It is retro style decorated with the conventional menu written on paper pasted on the wall. The owner is a guy who is friendly and courteous despite dealing with a full crowd. They pan fried the ingredients first before adding in the soup base. You can take the ingredients you want from the fridge. It is a nice hotpot and recommended for a try
