Considered one of the top favourites places to dine in whenever I am in Hualien. Ranks amongst the highest in my books for taste, service, serving portions for hotpot! Serving mainly beef hotpot in charcoal heated pot, the smokiness comes through in the soup that is flavoured in a mild spicy mala-ness. Can’t miss the free flowing plum drink available that complements the hotpot flavours. Service by the lady boss is great, with patient introductions and sincere recommendations, top up of soup available upon request too. Excellent hot pot ! Good quality ingredients, I loved the broth, the meat, the little side sauces were very good. Also try the hand-made plum juice. I’ve been a plum juice and plum alcohol lover for a while, and I can tell you it’s exquisite ! The staff was friendly, smiling and helpful for us, speaking English very well. The place to eat a good hot pot in a good atmosphere in Hualien.
