First time trying this Tainan style hotpot. Fresh beef was pretty good but they already ran out of the premium option. Broth had a clean light taste. The spicy tendon dish was melt in your mouth tender. Favorite cooked dish was the coriander beef. Min charge for a room is $8k

One of the best beef hotpots ever! The ingredients were all fresh and high quality. The beef was so tender. The hotpot broth was light yet full of flavour. I'd recommend making a reservation beforehand as the restaurant is mostly packed.

In general, really didn’t think that Taipei might have opportunity to taste fresh (warm, not refrigerated) beef. It was the first time came to Xuan Beef, and it was a more leisurely time to enter the venue at 17:30 during the weekdays. Although the time limited was 90 minutes, the waitress saw that we were mealing slowly and assessed that there were still 3 empty tables in the store at the time, so they took the initiative to extend by 15 minutes to let us finish. Adding a serving of oxtail is the recommended option. The oxtail stew was soft but not rotten. Taiwanese hot pot must be mixed with sauces to show your personal flavor. The storeowner usually provide warm reminders for customers to refer to. Xuan Beed sauce has its own flavor, Tainan soy sauce, spicy bean paste and onion sauce are all tasted Taiwanese sweet. The fresh (warm, not refrigerated) beef quality of the standard beef platter that day was beyond expectations, and the upgraded beef platter had more oiliness and softer meat.
