To English-speaking Travellers This is a spot worth stopping to try. I can't objectively tell you if this is the best izakaya place, but this is the place with the most personality. When i walked by this place, i was attracted by the small ghost dolls, the rock music and the smell of food cooking. Variety of pork skewers i chose were great, i loved the Saury onigiri (even if the saury was frozen whole and defrosted), it tasted amazing. Menu is small and focused. Owner seems to enjoy what he does and the environment is casual and relaxed. Just come in and try!

The two chefs inside and one service staff outside feel like partners, working together seamlessly. Especially when the service staff greets people while they are seated, looks at the menu first while waiting to be cleared, introduces the menu, and takes orders, they are definitely not like the standard responses of ordinary waiters. Like coming to a professional restaurant. The fish in the chirashi sushi is very fresh, but today there are two pieces of meat with ribs in it. The shrimp and scallops are rare and plump. The wasabi is real (too many Japanese restaurants use strange green convenient wasabi), and the rice is just right. It is worth mentioning that it comes with Tainan’s super traditional watermelon and milkfish soup. The soup is generously provided and you can refill the bowl at will. Highly recommended!

There are not many places, and the signboard is small and easy to miss. Guests are given a bowl of fish soup when they sit down, and the hand rolls and barbecue are delicious. The crystal rolls are a good creative dish.
