Wanhua District, Taipei City｜元味串燒-台北店

Great place for good, affordable bbq. Stopped by on a Friday night and were lucky the table outside was available. Seating is limited (there's a small infoor seating area as well) and there are lots of customers coming for take out. The skewers are affordable and very delicious. Since not everyone in our group eats spicy, we got a spicy sauce on the side which added great flavor. You can go buy drinks at the Family Mary across the street to enjoy with your food. The owner is incredibly friendly. There's a karaoke bar next door with drunk customers coming out every once in a while, some of which can be loud or spit on the floor, but most of them were perfectly fine.

Original Flavor is one famous and old Taiwan cabob located in Wanhua, Taipei. It was a street vendor at the junction of Xichang St and Guiyang St, and its business was really good, especially at weekend, you can always see people crowd around the vendor, sometime you might meet your neighbor or classmate there, which is really fun, such as a school reunion or party. The reason why this cabob vendor was so popular, not only because how good they grill, how well balance of the sauce, i think the most important thing is the passion of owner, and they treat customers so kind, and it make people feels like friend or family. Now, the owner has moved to it's own storefront on the street of Xichang St which is not far with its old spot, however, they even created many more dishes, and it's really excited for old and new customers. It is really happy that such one old and famous shop can keep providing good food here in Wanhua. 元味串燒是萬華老字號串燒，原本座落於西昌街和貴陽街交叉口的全家便利商店前面，當初是以攤販的形式在經營，生意很好，尤其是總是人聲鼎沸；而為什麼為生意這麼好，除了燒烤的技術掌握得宜，醬料鹹度適中，用料實在，最重要的還有老闆老闆娘靦腆而親切的招呼，完全就是台灣人內斂的態度與勤奮的精神。近幾年搬移到西昌街這間店面，除了保有既有的菜色之外，又開發出了許多新鮮有趣的新選項可以挑選，令新知舊雨有更多不一樣的選擇，很開心這樣子的老字號老味道，能在萬華繼續傳香。
