Wanhua District, Taipei City｜Yuan Fang Guabao

I wasn't aware of this place but noticed there Michelin recommended placard in front (for 2020,2021 and 2022). There was a long line up but it moves pretty quick. They even had a few spots to sit and eat. I got the Gua Bao (pork belly fat bun) and it was really good.

One of the best traditional dishes in Taiwan, this restaurant has been on Michelin's recommendation list for many years. I highly recommend trying this meal when visiting Taipei.

Honestly the best guabao ive had during my trip to taiwan. Other ones i tried at random places lacked flavor. This one was HUGE (worth 60 NT) with flavorful fatty and incredibly tender pieces of pork belly. The bao bread was SO soft and could taste it is homemade, not store bought. Best bao bread i have ever had. The line moves really fast. 5/5 would recommend. I can see why its been in the michelin guide for the last 3 years (i dont believe it has stars tho). Also apparently this is a 60 year old shop!
